A new version of MDViewer has been released!
In this release you can now choose a simple view that is persistent if you only want to review metadata in the user interface.
You can then turn off simple view and immediately have full access to the Tika strings, binary strings and hex viewers.
In this release are bug fixes. I’m not having Tika load any size file so you can try to get the metadata even if it’s returning too much content for Tika to display in the Strings window.
In this release I’ve also implemented a background worker threat to make the screen responsive while you wait. I’ve also added a progress window so you feel more at ease as you wait..
Finally, I’ve documented and provided the license notices for the various libraries used with this tool. Look for the LICENSE.txt file.
MDViewer is free to use for personal or commercial use. It includes commercial libraries such as DevXpress that I purchased to give the interface a richer look and feel.
You can get it here
Enjoy!
